3.0 Logistics 3.1 Staff Augmentation 3.1.1 Logistics Management and Operations, Ft Buchanan, PR JMWA personnel are instrumental in all day-to-day operation of warehouses, stockrooms and all storage facilities for the FDP, CIF and CRP. Among numerous other responsibilities, they stage, ship and receive all supplies and materials. They pack and crate myriad items being shipped to locations through the CONUS and overseas locations. They are expert and operate all systems in the packaging, labeling, and bar coding of material and supplies. Working directly in support of the Director of Logistics, JMWA logisticians are expert in asset management methodology, ensuring accuracy, expedience, and that all activity is conducted IAW applicable policies and standards. JMWA personnel plan for material requirements for the FDP and CIF. The FDP serves as the authorized requisitioning and turn-in of supplies and materials in support of myriad organizations supported by Ft Buchanan, including the U.S. Army Garrison, ROTC and several DOD agencies. Our personnel support all these organizations as they assist in managing inventory valued at over $4 million. This activity also operates a fuel dispensing facility in support to the installations' and USAR mission. As part of their assigned duties, JMWA personnel ensure proper management and storage of hazardous materials. JMWA personnel provide daily support in the Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul (MRO) of items stored within DOL facilities. The FDP processes and receives all incoming supplies from depots, supply distribution point from CONUS/OCONUS. JMWA personnel provide logistical support to the reserve components during mobilization, deployments and re-deployments. |
