(May 16, 2008) J.M. Waller Associates, Inc. has recently been awarded a five year contract with the EPA. The EPA Remedial Action Contract is a Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business set-aside. The services consist of professional architect/engineer, technical, and management in support of EPA's Region 4 remedial response, enforcement oversight and non-time critical removal activities under the Comprehensive Environmental Response Compensation and Liability Act of 1980 (CERCLA) and other laws to help address and/or mitigate endangerment to public health, welfare or environment, and to support State and communities in preparing for responses to releases of hazardous substances. These services will be provided within EPA Region 4 (AL, MS, FL, TN, GA, KY, NC, and SC) and on occasion in other EPA regions.
J. M. Waller Awarded the Enterprising Veteran Award
(MAY 19, 2008) - J. M. Waller Associates, Inc. is the winner of the “Enterprising Veteran Award” presented by the Center for Veterans Enterprise of the United States Department of Veterans Affairs. The award is presented to veteran or service disabled veteran owned businesses who have shown exemplary entrepreneurial leadership as evidenced by concrete and specific actions which showcase the theme “Veterans in Business – Still Serving America”. The award will be presented this year by the Honorable Dr. James B. Peake, M.D., Secretary of the Department of Veterans Affairs, in a ceremony on June 12 in Washington DC.

J. M. Waller Associates, Inc has recently been awarded a five year contract from the Mobile District Corp of Engineers. As prime contractor, J. M. Waller will be able to provide comprehensive environmental, planning and base support services to include compliance, conservation, pollution prevention, restoration, sustainment, readiness, modernization activities and program and project management.
This contract will allow J. M. Waller a continued relationship with the Mobile District Corp of Engineers and expand our services offered.

SAN ANTONIO, TX (MARCH 1, 2008) –J. M. Waller Associates, Inc. has been awarded a 5 year Architect-Engineer (A-E) contract from the Air Force Center for Engineering and the Environment (AFCEE). The contract, called the 4PAE08 contract, has a maximum program ceiling of $3 billion and provides worldwide A-E support to the Air Force’s environmental and facility programs. The scope of the contract includes facility planning, programming, design and construction management, as well as environmental restoration, compliance, pollution prevention, natural/cultural resources and NEPA.

JMWA and SAIC Enter into DoD Mentor-Protégé Relationship

The U.S. Army Office of Small and Disadvantaged Business Utilization have approved J. M. Waller Associates, Inc. (JMWA), of Burke, Va., to enter into the Mentor Protégé Program (MPP) with Science Applications International Corporation (SAIC) of San Diego, Ca. Established in 1991, the Department of Defense (DoD) MPP provides incentives for a prime contractor to mentor small and disadvantaged business so they can compete successfully for government prime contracts and subcontract awards. The mentor-protégé agreement is a three year relationship between JMWA and SAIC.
