The San Antonio Food Bank received a donation of 723 pounds of food and more than $200 on November 16, 2009, the results of The 2009 Engineering a Hunger-Free Tomorrow Food and Fund Drive. Local businesses J. M. Waller Associates, Inc. and Magi Real Estate Services combined to run the first annual food drive in an effort to help meet the needs of the upcoming holiday season. The 723 pounds of food collected shattered The Engineering a Hunger-Free Tomorrow event goal by more than 300 percent. The funds contributed during the event equates to more than $2,600 in buying power for the San Antonio Food Bank.

The 2009 Engineering a Hunger-Free Tomorrow Food and Funds Drive ran from October 1 through November 13. Donation stations were set up at the main lobby of J. M. Waller Associates, Inc. located at 85 NE Loop 410, Suite 500 and Magi Real Estate Services San Antonio headquarters located at 10010 San Pedro, Suite 450, both Magi operated properties.
